Great Moments in Vinyl plays tribute to The Rolling Stones (08/05/17)
At the end of the ‘60s, The Rolling Stones found themselves revitalized. Their wanderings in the psychedelic era were over, and the band returned to their rock and blues roots with a vengeance. From that rebirth came a string of albums that fans and critics far and wide have declared among the best that this band...or any band...has ever created. For their debut performance at Wire, Great Moments in Vinyl plays tribute to two of the Stones’ best with a pair of narrated concerts featuring Let It Bleed and Exile on Main St.
Great Moments in Vinyl is a collaborative effort between master of ceremonies, William Lindsey Cochran, a veteran Chicago radio personality on bass and storytelling aided by a variety of talented collaborators: Phil Angotti on vocals and guitar, Rachel Drew on vocals, Richard Pettengill on guitar, Dan Ingenthron on keyboards and vocals, Benji Shefler on drums, and John Bowes on sax.
